Light Spec Gamer: It's all about control.

In defense of a trope.
Many people have derided the "rescue the Princess/ Queen" trope in literature, film, and games. I believe that the critics are missing out on something important. Over 90% of the time the Princess or Queen has real and sometimes absolute power. When the ruler does encounter a problem and needs help the hero is often an "average Joe" who rises to the occasion. This illustrates that we need each other. If a dash of romance is mixed in so much the better.

Light Spec Gamer: Plants vs Zombies, how does your garden grow?
Mary Mary quite contrary how does your garden grow? With shotgun shells send those zombies to well... there are no guns in Plants vs Zombies, but that does not mean that you are alone in your war against the undead. In honor of Halloween we are taking a look at Plants vs Zombies. The game is pretty straight forward. The zombies are coming and you need to stop them. Thankfully you have a supply of sunflowers and plants that are more than capable laying waste to the trespassing undead. The interface is easy to understand and it runs well on my generation 1 iPad air and the game has been ported to many platforms. If you are looking for a game to get you in the Halloween mood give Plants vs Zombies a try.
With simple gameplay and minimal gore, Plants VS Zombies is a game that has aged well.
